What Will the Apprentice Be Doing?

Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Assembly of machines to the requirements of the customer specifications
Build of assemblies to instructions of drawings and parts lists
Raising snag lists for the machine being worked upon, listing shortages, work outstanding and any problems encountered.
Inspection of quality of build, appearance and fit of assemblies being worked upon and reporting to the team leader any problems.
Testing of finished machines and assemblies and using the inspection checklists for final commissioning.
Any other reasonable requests by the above department
What Training Will the Apprentice Take and What Qualification Will the Apprentice Get at the End?
The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Engineering Operative Level 2
The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. This is a Day-Release programme which means you will attend Lincoln/Newark College, 1 day per week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.

What is the Expected Career Progression After this Apprenticeship?
Permanent position as a Mechanical Fitter on successful completion of the Apprenticeship
