Lincoln College hosted the Chamber of Commerce Construction & Property networking event earlier today,  bringing together industry professionals, educators, and students. This event not only showcased the impressive construction facilities at the college but also offered a unique platform for students to present their work and connect with industry experts, demonstrating the knowledge and practical skills they have acquired.

The construction college's state-of-the-art facilities cater to a range of construction disciplines. Guests had an extensive tour of the college construction facilities, which included well-equipped workshops and classrooms. The emphasis on practical learning is evident, with specialised spaces for carpentry, bricklaying, electrical work, plumbing, and more.

Paul Gregory, Assistant Principal at the Lincoln College Group, said: "As an educational institution committed to nurturing the talents of our students, the Chamber of Commerce Construction & Property Network Gathering is a fantastic opportunity allowing our students to not only showcase their skills but also build invaluable connections with industry professionals.

“This event exemplifies the symbiotic relationship between education and industry, providing our students with a platform to shine, ensuring they are well-prepared to make a meaningful impact in the world of construction and property."

Gareth Laking, Projects and Events Co-Ordinator at Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce said: “It’s fantastic that Lincoln College is hosting this month’s Lincolnshire Construction & Property Network for us.

“It will be a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their work in front of several Lincolnshire-based businesses. It’s also a great opportunity for the college to enhance its links with local employers, creating stronger pathways into employment for students once they have finished their qualifications.”

Networking events like the Chamber of Commerce Construction & Property Network Gathering are invaluable for building industry connections that could lead to internships, apprenticeships, or even full-time employment opportunities. The importance of education-industry partnership help bridge the gap between theory and practice, ensuring that students are academically prepared and ready to meet the demand of the construction and property sector.
