Alumni city leaders to mentor female college directors

Three of Lincoln College's most notable alumni have agreed to mentor three female college directors.

CEO of the Lincolnshire County Council, Debbie Barnes, CEO of the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership, Ruth Carver and CEO of the City of Lincoln Council, Angela Andrews, all studied at Lincoln College and have progressed to senior leadership roles.

All three are actively involved in supporting and promoting the College and all three have now agreed to coach and inspire three current college directors, Michaela Lines, Tmasyn Lawton and Julie Sullivan.

Lincoln College Group CEO Gary Headland said he was hugely grateful to Debbie, Ruth and Angela for investing their time in developing some of the College’s female leaders.

“We are extremely fortunate to have such strong female representation across key leadership roles in Lincolnshire and I hope this approach will inspire some of our female staff in leadership roles to aim higher,” he said.

“I also hope this sends a clear message to our female students that there are no barriers that can’t be surmounted in their future careers.”
